Dec. 6, 2023
Moxa’s CCG-1500 Series gateways will help with the expansion of 5G in industrial environments.

Moxa recently released its new CCG-1500 Series of private 5G cellular gateways to use in industrial applications. The Moxa XXG-1500 Series gateways have 3GPP 5G connectivity for both Ethernet and serial devices to make ease of industrial 5G deployments including AMR/AGV applications in smart manufacturing and logistics, and unmanned truck fleets in mining.

“Moxa CCG-1500 Series gateways act as an ARM-based media and protocol converter with a built-in 5G/LTE module, leveraging the Snapdragon® X55 5G Modem-RF System.” The industrial gateways utilize a broad swath of technologies and protocols to allow for interoperability and compatibility with top 5G RANs (Radio Area Networks) and 5G core networks from providers like Nokia, NEC, and Ericsson.

The gateways have numerous features including high 5G speed, low latency, increased security, and dual-SIM support to secure redundant cellular and seamless OT-IT communications over 5G. They also have network interoperability, reliability and security features to help fuse 5G with existing industrial systems and networks.

Other features include supporting global private 5G bands, 8-watt low power consumption under common operating conditions, a wide operating temperature with 5G enabled, and a small size and smart LED design for simpler installation and troubleshooting.
