Summary

Fault Managed Power Systems are gaining traction in the ICT industry and it’s easy to understand why; FMP systems solve very real problems for network designers, installers, users, and operators. Fault managed power systems are an arrow in your quiver to address design and construction obstacles and take advantage of advanced and emerging technologies.  In this insightful hour we will review the top current applications for fault managed power and provide a look into future applications for FMP. We will review how network architecture is evolving and how FMP is enabling that evolution, we will show real world cases that are operational today, reference designs and a breakdown of the best “fits” for FMP. We will also cover project cost savings, sustainability metrics and some tips on positioning this technology with clients and stakeholders.

Learner Outcomes:

  • Primary components that make up FMP systems.
  • Top applications and architectures for FMP systems.
  • Structured cabling considerations for FMP systems.
  • Economic and sustainability implications for FMP systems.
