The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) will hold a live webinar on July 13, 2023 that will feature expert speakers who will share insights on how broadband industry leaders are preparing for rural internet expansion.

Attendees will learn how broadband industry leaders are preparing for the BEAD funding, and will learn practical strategies to address the challenges states and operators face in utilizing the BEAD funds.

Panelists for the webinar include:

  • Craig Culwell – Market Development – Network Connectivity & Cable, CommScope
  • Nate Denny – Deputy Secretary Division of Broadband & Digital Equity for North Carolina
  • Carl Meyerhofer – SVP Business Development, Conexon
  • Christopher Barnes – Senior Grants Development Consultant, The Grants Office, LLC

During the webinar, the panelists will investigate: some of the primary challenges they see in deploying broadband in rural areas; their impact on infrastructure development; and the strategies employed by industry leaders to overcome these obstacles.

As noted by TIA, "The BEAD program offers an exceptional opportunity to address the digital divide and provide broadband to everyone, everywhere. However, as internet connectivity expands farther into rural areas, new challenges will emerge that require collaboration among industry and state leaders to overcome."

The webinar is free to attend. You can register here.
